A conjunction is a word that joins words, phrases, and clauses together. Examples that are frequently used include and, but, and or, while there are numerous other options (including although). Coordinating, correlative, and subordinating are the three primary forms of conjunctions.
SIGNIFICANCE:
Conjunctions serve as connectors. Conjunctions are crucial in writing because they add interest to our sentences and enable us to efficiently convey more information in just one sentence.
DEFINITION:
A conjunction is a speech unit that joins what are referred to as the conjuncts of the conjunctions, which are words, phrases, or clauses. There may be overlap between this definition and that of other parts of speech, so it is necessary to specify what a "conjunction" is in each language.
EXAMPLES:
1. AND
( I have a pen and a pencil. )
2. UNTIL
( You had better wait until the fireman come. )
3. SINCE
( Since I see you, I'm better. )
